Not too far away from our house is a huge billboard wishing everyone a Happy Halloween and Thanksgiving. I tried to snap a quick picture as we went by, but it didn't come out clearly. You get the idea. Most people passing by have no clue what it means. Talk about out of context (It sure makes us feel at home). I tried to explain to my Indo friend the pilgrim's hat, fall leaves, the trick or treating! We chuckled at the thought of all the Indonesians passing by never even giving a thought because they have no connection. Effective advertising, eh!
